During the 2013- 2014 school year The Alfred & Adele Davis Academy made this music video. Not only did we make the music video, but we wrote and produced the song as well. The central message of "Kol Yisrael" is that the entire Jewish community (indeed all of humanity) are responsible for one another. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. put it, "We are bound in an inescapable network of mutuality."
Here at The Davis Academy we call this "network of mutuality" our Davis "kehilah." Kehilah is Hebrew for "community." Through creative endeavors such as this song and music video we instill a respect for and appreciation of kehilah in our students so that they become community leaders, citizens who value community and contribute to the various communities of which they are a part.
