"Believe" Poems

This year every Middle School student had a chance to contribute to #BlogElul. Over the course of the Hebrew month of Elul some of their contributions will be published here with their permission. Today's Blog Elul theme is: Believe. The following poems written by Davis Academy 8th graders will reaffirm your faith in the creativity and thoughtfulness of the human spirit.

"Believe"
by Katy S.

Laugh
Live
Love
Feel
Sometimes Hard
Sometimes Easy
Sometimes Alone
Sometimes part of a group
People will raise you up,
People will bring you down
It doesn't matter
Keep going
It will be worth it in the end
If you try
If you believe.

"Believe"
by Michaela Z.

Believe in the world
That one day we will live in Peace

Believe in your community
That everyone will respect your opinion

Believe in your friends
That you can trust them with anything

Believe in your family
That you know they will always be there

Believe in yourself
That you will stay you

"Believe"
by Alex E.

Believe that you can do greatness in the world.
Believe that there are no limits to what you can do to help.
Believe in what you can do to help others around you and make a difference in the community.
Always believe that you can do more.
