2nd Graders Fighting Hunger in Israel

Mazal tov to The Davis Academy's 2013-2014 2nd grade class for their support of Leket-- the national food bank of Israel. Leket was kind enough to send us this lovely certificate as a thank you for the generous tzedakah donation that the 2nd graders made at the end of the year. 2nd graders focus on the tzedakah theme of "Hunger" during their 2nd grade year. They do lots of projects for the Atlanta Community Food Bank and learn about Leket, a comparable organization in Israel. By the end of 2nd grade we hope that our students remember that every bite of food is a blessing, especially since so many people don't know when their next meal will come.
