Recently, 4th graders had a chance to think about and then artistically represent how they experience God through their five senses. Because this activity took place during Tefilah, some didn't have time to finish their drawings. Rather than simply submitting her unfinished work, Rachel Rusnak [named with her parents' permission] asked if she could complete the assignment at home. You can imagine how moved Morah Rivkah was when Rachel handed her this elegant drawing the next day. Will we ever cease to be amazed by what a child can do with a piece of paper, a pencil, a thoughtful and reflective assignment, and an open heart?
