For Hanukkah 2013 Davis Academy Middle School students, inspired by their peers in the Jewish Life Leadership Track of our Middle School Leadership Institute (MSLTI) created placemats for a very special group of people: the Holocaust Survivors Program at Jewish Family & Career Services. Below are two thank you notes-- first from the Holocaust Survivors themselves, and then from the program manager of Holocaust Survivor Services at JF&CS. This small service learning project is one example of how Davis Academy Middle School students live the value of kavod (respect) on a daily basis.
