Every year The Davis Academy is transformed into a museum of masks in honor of Purim. What's most exciting about the masks is the creativity that goes into them. Each grade's mask-erading has a different theme. This year 5th graders based their masks on famous works of art. Here are a few samples.
Just as these creative masks operate on two different levels-- Purim and Famous Artists, so much of the instruction at Davis does the same. At any given moment students are learning not only content, but important life skills. They are learning not only information, but also citizenship and how to be a mensch.
