A Prayer for the Next Stage Ribbon Cutting

As we prepare to cut this ribbon let us take a moment to bring ourselves into the moment.

Let us summon those initial thoughts and feelings, those early sketches and visions and dreams that today become real.

Let us envision not only today, but tomorrow, and all the days to come. Let us picture one Davis Academy student, let us picture every Davis Academy student, and let us picture future generations of Davis Academy students

As they courageously step out onto this stage, discover themselves in the idea lab, joyfully break bread with friends and classmates, stand before the open ark and beneath the ner tamid, and so much more.

We cut this ribbon for ourselves, for our community, for our children, and for future generations.

We cut this ribbon in celebration of our humanity, our values, our traditions, and that which we hold dear.

We cut this ribbon humbly, joyfully, and full of hope that the next stage will herald great things for us all.
